I saw about 10 minutes of the presentation today, but don't have anything to compare it with.
I have a newspaper article saying journalists (from around the world) thought it was great.

Ow and the avarage temperature of qatar in June/july is 40 degrees celcius (106 degrees fahrenheit).Good luck with that.
Also, good luck qatar with the almost nude, drunk, loud western tourists. That's a terrorist attack waiting to happen.
Averages of 28C min, 44C max for Qatar at June. Holy fuck.
Unless they are planning some ingenious cooling system, matches should be played only at the night if you are anything sane.
But I wonder if broadcasters will allow it. I bet they'd allow players to almost literally die only so more people watch the cup.

watch all of them on you tube if you can... worst by a country mile.. only Russia and England had decent presentations., |
I disagree, the USA presentation was pretty bad. Forgetting pages etc.
Belgium/holland was fine, but nothing spectacular. I think we would have been a better choice than Spain/Portugal and Russia. But I'm happy we didn't win, I don't want my money to fund the corrupt bastards.

It's in a different time zone.
Dominant broadcasters are probably in GMT/GMT 1
I like the Bill Simmons response.
"Any time you can hold a World Cup in a hot Middle East country that's smaller than Connecticut has no soccer tradition, you have to do it."
There is NO fucking reason for it to be in Qatar. It doesn't even fit the "Lets help poor countries" angle.
Both bids show pretty obvious payoffs and corruption.... but at least Russia is halfway decent.

Qatar football stadiums...
PISS POOR! So they are building 5 new shiny big ones... why? what for? how will they be used afterwards? idiotic. |
Watch the qatar presentation. After the world cup they will destroy the stadiums and rebuilt it in developing countries.
Also they will provide "revolutionary" airconditioning inside the stadiums.
england should won 2018 iam really suprised and sad :(
2022: i live and born in dubai and i am happy really happy for qatar
haxxiy said: Nice to see Russia hosting 2018, but 2022 should be on Australia IMO. Oh well, 2026 probably will be there, and India or Mexico for 2030 I'd guess. |
No it wont, because its in the AFC, like Qatar, and because of the rotation policy it wont be eligible until 234 at the earliest.
