Forums - Gaming Discussion - Pics of my gaming setup(s) - post yours! (56K warning)

2 years ago when I moved in to my new place I posed a pic in one of these threads of my then new 67 inch Samsung 3D DLP. Pic can be seen here. Wow look at my low gamer score...and the mess...pathetic! :)

Since then I have changed set ups many times with many different systems and displays. Last weekend however I think I finalized my gear for a while...

Happy to say that the Samsung DLP is still kicking butt, however it has been moved to the bedroom. Its a TV that I use sometime for xbox live arcade games before bed or wii gaming with gf.

I've used it for 3D and gaming for over 2 years, it deserves a break...

Now in the gamer room...heh... I've set up a 92 inch silver screen with and Acer 3D projector.

Here are bunch of pics which show scale and the size of the damn thing:

This monster is truly expectional for gaming and Nvidia 3D vision gaming... Nvidia released new beta drivers today as you can see by my next pic.

I mostly use the projector for console gaming and 3D/bluray movies...however for PC gaming, I've set up something I find even better. :)

The racing seat I built myself using an actual racing seat, plastic pipes for the frame, Logitech GT driving force wheel and some wood. The whole thing cost me around 400 bucks...and it sure beats the crap out of that "Playseat" you can buy on amazon which costs more and has no wheel. :)

Monitors are 1080p 24 inch Asus. Not 3D...3D Viewsonic LCD I had was not worth it...too much ghosting.

The computer is running GTX470 SLI setup and an overclocked AMD Phenom 945...runs Crysis on high well over playable framerate on all 3 monitors :)

In any case, here are some more pics of this setup.

What do you guys think of my setups? :)

I'm always upgrading stuff and Im thinking of adding a 40-50 inch screen on top of the 3 monitors...a 3D TV perhaps?

Anyone who has any gaming set up pics...feel free to post them below.

Oh for sure, the whell I have is the authentic GT5 wheel so I better play it... :)

For the price I paid for it I wasn't expecting much but I must say that the GT wheel is great. I really wish 360 could use this wheel too as I like to play Forza 3 and this wheel is better than the MS wireless one... but oh well.

Keep in mind that I like to shop around and get the best deal. Some people could sped 15000 if they went to the store and bought everything today. I waited for sales and did a lot of assembling and legwork myself.

My computer and it cost 1500 bucks. That includes 2 sets of Nvidia 3D vision glasses, video cards, case, mobo, hard drive, cpu, ram, 1000 watt power supply and everything else...

Projector was 700, screen was 300...so 1000 for the projector setup. Bargain of the century IMO considering it looks so good and does 3D.

3 monitors I got for 129 each off newegg when they were on sale. So 390.

Samsung TV was 2000 dollars 2 years ago. Kinda pricey today but then 67 inch 3D capable meant it was realy cheap....

The racing seat setup was me doing all the work and about to buy everyting 400. Mind you the racing chair was 250 alone...I wanted a good one.

Counting consoles I don't think I spend more than 6000 bucks on this stuff over the last 2 years.

Wanna be best friends? I'll make you pancakes and hot chocolate and we can stay up all night killing gods

All you have to do is give me a little box to sleep in the corner and unlimited access to that ridiculous setup, I promise you won't even know I'm there

The definitive evidence that video games turn people into mass murderers

Amazing!!!!!!

lol...Im sorry man, I didn't post to rub it in.

I spent lots of time building the racing cockpit and was just gonna post that as I figured it would be cool to see what one can make with some spare time and internet guides...but then I was like...screw it, ill take pics of everything and post it.
