Which console will have the most million sellers this year?

Xbox 360 89 49.44%

Playstation 3 57 31.67%

Nintendo Wii 28 15.56%

Tie 6 3.33%

Total:180

Previous games in the current year count, so MW2 selling over 1 million units in 2010 counts, it's about how many games can sell 1 million units THIS year.

A helpful table!

It's actually a little disappointing to look at how much lower the numbers are for all three consoles than they were last year, and we're already 9 months in. It might go up with releases before or near Christmas, but I just can't see the numbers staying the same. I'd honestly say it's anyone's race right now.

EDIT: Also, anyone have a good listing of the top shelf games yet to come out by the end of the year?

No idea. Everything just looks like it could go either side. The craziness of this world is incalculable.

Above: still the best game of the year.

I estimate around 15 more for the 360, same as last year -http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=97016&page=1

Same for Wii and PS3 more than likely, probably less for PS3. SW really takes a hold in Q4, I wouldn't worry ^^

Easy choice: Xbox 360.

The table is helpful indeed. The 360 won the past two years, it's in the lead this year and the upcoming release schedule plays in its favor. For the most part I don't even know which games are still coming this year, but that doesn't matter. The Wii won't get a lot of million seller material with the third party support it has, so it's out of the question. The 360 and PS3 get mostly the same games, because pretty much everything is multiplatform nowadays. So in the end the 360 will retain the lead.

If memory serves me right, Source doesn't agree!

Is he using the same conditions as you do? If he goes with games that hit one million in lifetime sales during 2010, then the Wii would have a good number of titles that get there with legs, giving it a chance to come out on top.

Yeah same terms, games that will cross 1 million in 2010, whether they're already million sellers, or released in whatever year.

The 360 had 27 and 26 games sell a million the last 2 years, that's impressive.

I don't see how PS3 is going to make up the difference at this stage with its end of year exclusive lineup. I don't see 360 selling a million and PS3 not with any of the multiplat games. Though perhaps with some of those older titles yet to hit a million for 2010 360 might get there but not PS3. And I think the PS360 360 exclusives (i.e not on Wii) will keep 360 ahead of Wii's million selling exclusives.

So 360 it is then.

Voted 360.I think it will only outsell the ps3 by 2 or 3 million sellers this year ,l ooking at upcoming games/preorder charts.

For this alone its clear Uncharted 2, MAG, Madden, 2010 FIFA World Cup, and GTA DLC Collection will make it

That makes it 12 for PS3 not counting any games released in the holidays (and possibly Just Cause 2, Bioshock 2 could make it)

In the holidays we'll see, GT5, LBP2, COD:Black Ops, New NFS Game, new FIFA Game, New PES Game, the new Assassins Creed Game.....that already makes 19

So PS3 will do better than last year for sure.

Now after that we have -- Medal Of Honor and a few more
