Forums - Sony Discussion - My Reasonable Move Impressions

Thats a good review fo the Move. I would have a similar opinion in the tech since I played with it today at the Playstsion hub in Dublin.

I played Socom and Tiger Woods with the move. For Socom I thought it was good - not the major improvement over a dualshock i thought it might be but a little better and more fun. It was very accurate and added to the sense of realism. The only problem that I had was that the move was used to move the camera & aim so when aiming at people at the edge of the screen the camera moved - I must say that I only played with it for about 10 mins though.

For Tiger Woods it was a little too accurate. I was hitting a lot a of large pulls - just like real life. Have played and own too many Tiger woods games to justify buying it for move though. Will be getting move afer X-mas when killzone & socom come out.

I also played GT5 & Killzone but WITHOUT the move - found they took ages to load though....

This is not an exit.

also it's kinda retarded that Sports champions doesn't have online... it would have been such a bigger hit had it come with online multiplayer/competitive play.. I mean gladiator's online would have been... just.. epic.

They are saving that for Sports Champions Retreat :).

Thanks for your impressions, looking good overall. Except:

"What I am saying is that, Nintendo titles aside, with Move there is now no technical difference between the two."

Yes, I see what you mean. Problem is: the Nintendo titles is what made the Wii huge. I think a lack of focus is going to hurt Sony. But we'll have to see (I'm biased as I like Kinect... so)

I think the motion controls and low pricing is what made the wii huge..

I mean if it was the nintendo games, the gamecube wouldn't have had any trouble taking down the ps2

great review but i will say that havin more varieties of game modes also unlockables and trophies, i think the replayability will be longer than wii sports, that and i love the gladiator duel, going through gold now and its so challenging, it does an amazing job of getting you immersed expecially if you have 2 move controllers

off topic: its also cool to point out that while in sports champions the aim in the menus wasnt based off the eye reading the move, but the sixaxis in the controllers, when i stepped in my kitchen i could feel it rumble when it selected a menu option and then looked back at the screen and was amazed lol,
