Hell yeah, the civ games are always fun to play, I've heard great things about the new gameplay with battles.

Crap. I hope I don't have to upgrade my system to play this game.

I have problem with monitor blackout on me on some games and forcing me to restart computer.

Never could get into this franchise :/

Above: still the best game of the year.

I hope a demo is released so I can see if it would work on my laptop.

Assuming you're still wondering, Civ V is fantastic and I know it's going to suck hours upon hours of my life away.  So far, I like pretty much all of the changes, although I'm still wrapping my head around some so that might change.

Considering picking it up this weekend but I have a couple questions.

Have you had any bug related issues?

I've never used Steam and don't know if this is a one time registration or if it must connect to steam every time I play. i.e. could you play this game completely off line after you register with steam?

EDIT: btw, your avatar sucks. DA BEARS!

1) Unfortunately, yes; the game literally would not play after the opening movie.  It's easy to fix, though (just edit the game so that you skip the opening).  It also once windowed without my doing anything, although clicking on the game's tab brought everything back without a hitch.  Other than that, I haven't encountered any issues.

2) I usually just leave Steam on (it takes almost no resources now), but I believe all Steam games can be accessed after validation without an internet connection via Offline Mode.  I'll double-check tonight though just to be sure.

il give you my civ collection for free instead. also how can you have enough time to play it when starcraft 2 is around? are you an alien o.O

Being in 3rd place never felt so good
