The Official May 2010 NPD Thread (Data for May 2-May 29)

Forums - Sales Discussion - The Official May 2010 NPD Thread (Data for May 2-May 29)

NPD will be releasing totals for the USA market for the four weeks ending May 29 in about 5.5 hours from the time of this post.

Our preview is here

Essentially, it was a good month for software. Galaxy 2 and Red Dead were the major openings, and the new Wii bundles, particularly the Black Wii bundle, helped quite a bit on the Wii hardware side.

In the chart, May 2010 is what we expect NPD to show for May 2010. April 2010 and May 2009 are NPD figures for that month.

We had these titles as the top selling games in the USA for May (scaled down from the Americas figures). Numerous titles are bunched up right around 50,000 units for the period.

Totally tagged.

Can't wait.

Source, have you ever thought about updating your charts to make them look a bit nicer? Not digging, they just look a tad basic!

So, are we getting June data next week?

I predict meltdowns...

The numbers are so tiny nothing will result in a massive adjustment, IMO anyway

Link works for me. Try to go on Vgchartz - the story is still on the front page.

We have NPD reporting the USA will be up 3% by revenue - Pachter has 11%...we'll see.

Has there ever not been a meltdown of one sort or another?

Currently Playing: Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked, Professor Layton and the Curious Village

Anticipating: Xenoblade, The Last Story, Mario Kart 7, Rayman Origins, Zelda SS, Crush3D, Tales of the Abyss 3DS, MGS:Snake Eater 3DS, RE:Revelations, Time Travellers, Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney, Luigi's Mansion 2, MH TriG, DQ Monsters, Heroes of Ruin

We'll see.

Legend11 correctly predicted that GTA IV (360+PS3) would outsell SSBB. I was wrong.
