@ PureDante: Well I can't say much to help, I'm new to this game and MMO's in general. I don't know if you're doing something wrong and I'm not in the same region. All I can say is try to go to other places. You can easilly run to Gridania (takes a long time to get there though) and there's a boat to Limsa. Maybe if you do some leves there you'll level up easier. I'm level 16 and rank 12 conjurer. Sure my job is overpowered but I know plenty of people over my level with different jobs.

To go to Gridania, you just need to follow the path in Uldah, going all the way east and there's a boat to Limsa if you go all the way west. I really recommend you doing that. Just remember to touch the crystals when going, so if something happens you don't start all the way back and also you can teleport there again. There's different ennemies so you will probably find something that gives you good exp. and doesn't kill you, lol.

You should be patient about FFXIV... My fiance told me FFXI was already out for a year in Japan before it came out elsewhere, so the game was already sorted out and complete. Also, some people he knows are waiting a year before starting to play... Maybe you should do that? Up to you, personally I look beyond the issues and I prefer to play while no one knows how the game works. I like to find things by myself.

I do however agree the game is flawed in places and it feels incomplete. Many people have complained about certain things you mentionned so hopefully S-E will listen (they're actually changing the markets with an idea that my fiance suggested). I've been having fun with it personally, minus some frustrating moments with crafting not working at all (it was broken for a while, I dunno if it's fixed now). I've been mostly solo or playing with people in the LS I'm in, so I can't comment on the community. I've asked once a question though and no one answered. So maybe you're right.

I officially cannot stand this game. Call me misinformed, or whatever, but I'm waaay too upset with this game to continue trying to dive into it. I've hyped it up with any new info on it since its announcement at last years e3-------

Ok, I won't fully rage. But I'll list the problems I've had with the game, probably said before 100,000 times.
*UI is slow as hell. One click takes 1-2 seconds to load a screen. It's half impossible to examine someone, then keep up with them, just because you gotta click on a specific item to load its information. Stupid UI is stupid.

*NO AUCTION HOUSE. THIS GAME WILL NOT SURVIVE WITHOUT ONE. Not everyone wants to level crafts, upon subcrafts, upon looking for retainers for materials, just to get that new piece of armor or equipment in order to have a fighting chance of progressing in the game. I'm physical rank 11 now, pugilist rank 10. Halfway to next level for both. In FFXI, I would've had updated my armor twice already. But no, I have to rely on websites in order to have an idea of what item to look out for next, just because the game does not indicate what to get next at all. Sure, it wouldn't be obvious, but the AH helped in this department, giving you a slight idea of what to aim for. Lack of economy = no game beyond questing.

*I cannot get a party. I've shouted. I've asked people. I even raged and spammed and didn't even get someone to tell me to shut up. Not in any language, no responses, anywhere. I see people partying, they're all of the same LS, usually Japanese names. Not surprised. Lack of community in this game is horrific.

*I cannot understand how to repeat a battlecraft/guildleve. I've done the 4 given to you for Camp Black Brush in Ul'Dah. Then what? You'd think to move on to the next area, Camp Dry Bone, right? But, you can't because everything kills you in 3-4 hits! So I go back to Camp Black Brush, level for a bit (to where I'm at now), still cannot solo Dry Bone battlecrafts, and I can't repeat Black Brushes' battlecraft leves. So I attempt soloing in the Dry Bone surrounding area, but that sh!t is MIND NUMBINGLY BORING. I give up.

Hmm, what else to rage on. Also, yeah, I understand "it's too early, still in Beta Phase 5 (or whatnot)", but damn bros. Rushed game is rushed, and for a FF title, it's just unacceptable. At least theres Starcraft and Halo, and ps3 goodness.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong? Maybe someone can help me? Please? lol, I refuse to subscribe to this game until its fixed (probably by ps3 release). I'm just mad cause the dudes who manage this game said "we'll learn from our XI mistakes and this game will be much better". They didn't learn jack sh!t. XI ps2 release was waaay better then this, IMHO.

Send your comments and suggestions to Square Enix.

So far i been playing solo on and off a day. around 2-3hrs a day. lv17 physical lv16 gladiator. selling crystals when i'm not online etc. im riched!

So far none of the major gaming sites have reviewed it (IGN, Gamespot, Gametrailers (idk they did so yet))
Gamespot usually gives somewhat of a brutally honest review, and they take the most time to evaluate the games. Except for when they're paid off (Halo's haha).

All of this, of course, is just my opinion.

Skyrim 100%'d. Dark Souls 100%'d.
Dark Souls > Skyrim.
Halo 4 is the best damn FPS since Halo 3.
Proud pre-orderer of 2 PS4's and an Xbox One.

Currently Playing: Dark Souls II, South Park
Playstation 4: MGS V GZ, Killzone: Shadow Fall, NBA 2k14.

It's a little rough so far but the story is amazing for an MMO. In a year this game will be the shit.

By the time it comes to PS3 (when I'll get it) hopefully everything is fixed up!

Agreed 100% x infinity

Meh - I slightly agree - I like the way you get armor kind of...  I don't like how you have to have every craft leveled because an item in leatherworking requires items from 4 other crafts

*I cannot get a party. I've shouted. I've asked people. I even raged and spammed and didn't even get someone to tell me to shut up. Not in any language, no responses, anywhere. Haven't tried to get a party yet, solo seems to be the way to go for first bit, what server are you on?

You can only do 8 Factional and 8 Local leves per 36 hours, after you are done you need to wait for the timer to run out then you can go pick up new leves

Another beef I have is with crafting in general, click item slot, scroll through list, pick item, click how many you want, clcik ok, click another item slot, rinse repeat - takes awhile with the UI being so slow, then click main hand, then click which recipe you want (ok understandable since more than 1 thing can be made from same mats) then click confirm, then confirm AGAIN that you know how many crystals you want to use..

Then the fun Standard, Rapid, Bold stuff.. sigh..

I'm going to probably go crazy when we get up to 8 item recipes.

Unicorns ARE real - They are just fat, grey and called Rhinos
