Xbox 360 Arcade Goes Down To $149

Director of product management, Aaron Greenberg, just confirmed that the Xbox 360 arcade will go down to $149. With the introduction of the brand new xbox 360, Microsoft wants everyone to get an xbox 360 and what a better way than this. Xbox 360 is now again the cheapest console at the moment, stay tuned for the Playstation 3 and Nintendo Wii conference.

Excellent job Microsoft this is a very good price point for the entry level Xbox 360.  

Update the Elites will also receive a price cut!

In the wake off the formal announcement of the '360 slim', Microsoft have also commented that they will be slashing the prices of the older model 360's.

The 360 Elites will now be $249 USD, whilst the Arcade will be $149 USD. The 360 slim will be $299 USD, the former price of the Elite model.

Is this the new price for a Slim Arcade?  Or is it just a clearance move on the old Arcades like dropping the Elite?

Well, if this is just clearance, are they going to sell a slim 360 with no HDD, etc.?  They only announced the $299 model at the conference.

You'd think they'd have given us more details.
