Will there be a new slim arcade? or for those that want the slim has to cough up the $299 price?

the arcade will not be redesigned, microsoft are either phasing out the other models to have one general model, or are offering an extra option for those that can't purchase the 360 wifi.

Looks like it is the phase out price.  Microsoft sees how people react price wise and the you see how sales go.

Should make the sales charts interesting again.

So just the one model now? Seems like a bad move increasing the entry price.

Wireless N is pretty nice. I have my Wifi set to N exclusively so I might actually be able to connect it... Who would have thunk it?!

if it's a phase out, it isn't smart..

because that would mean the new 360 will be the onlyproduct available at $299.. that vs a 299 ps3 isn't smart

I like the new design but I like the 149 arcade even better.  Going to pick me up one of those asap
