Now wait some years till you grown up and you´ll realize a good videogame has to be astounding, creative and crazy to entertain - and you´ll see how great it feels to play those games with the eyes of a casual gamer.
Gaming has to be fun. there are no "real" games and non-games like you said. Gaming is about fun. Fun. Fun. Fun. Got it? Fun.
As long as you have fun playing your games they are just perfect for you.
Now tell me you don´t like a certain game but please let me and millions of people in this world the reason they bought a videogame console: Fun.

lol, actually the market was not growing fst enough, growth was due to pop growth and not capturing new markets, but costs were growing fast, and gaming was becoming more and more narrow, evetually such a market would collapse, Wii prevented that by exploding the market wide open

The market didn´t grow if you go by year-to-year sales since the release of the PSX it just looks like it grew because the PS2 is in its 7th year. You really think those games attracted 120 million people in the PS2´s life? Many casual gamers bought a PS2, the Wii only broadens this audience that´s all.
