The game is in fact a AAA a title and to top it off, it is amazing. For a game to considerd to be a AAA title, it is just a game with a very high budget. Basing AAA with an the average of a site that doesn't include a lot of the reviews and/or the same review scores for different version consoles is extremely dumb.

Mass Effect 2, before that forza 3, now in a few months it'll be halo reach then a few weeks after that Fable 3. I'm an xbox 360 fan but even I'm tired of these "hype the latest model" game you play.

honestly I wasn't that hyped on this game but still picked it up day one to try it out. And I was blown away. I have no idea why this game doesn't have better sales considering this is easily one of the best games I've ever played. Its incredible and people need to start buying it because I demand a sequel.

I find it funny that someone with a name like yours made this topic.  The reason being that I recently bought two games, Alan Wake for myself and Final Fantasy 13 for my girlfriend.  My girlfriend loves JRPGs so I figured she would be in gaming bliss with FF13.  Well it turned out that she played it for a bit but after watching me play Alan Wake she started playing it as well and it's the only game she has played since.  It's interesting that she would prefer Alan Wake so much more since it has a similar Metacritic score to Final Fantasy 13.  Of course it may be that the Final Fantasy series is overrated (you tell me) but I was still surprised.

Well anyways I just wanted to share that and it's great to see other people sharing just how much they've enjoyed the game.  If that was your goal and you wanted to make a thread that would cause people to share their experiences with the game and show just how much ass it kicks it's obvious you've accomplished that goal.  Now that you've gotten this game some good coverage in the forums you should help out Red Dead Redemption with its PS3 sub-HD problems (something Alan Wake was attacked for).  Hopefully you can convince some PS3 gamers that bashed Alan Wake over that problem to pick up that game because I think it's amazing.

Why wouldn't I buy the game because it was a few points shy of 90 on metacritic? I honestly don't get how people can be so hung up on scores.

Edit: i just played it i liked it, so yes in a sense i was wrong about it, but definately not up there with the big guns like uncharted, I may spread the love don't worry, to me a game does not have to be AAA status, and i feel ppl have grown too obsessed with scores hence the post...

I put the third option as a joke, knowing people would vote for it....:):)
