A 3-way mix between 1st party exclusive like Mario Galaxy and Metroid Prime 3, motion controls, and Monster Hunter Tri.

It was the motion controls and the virtual console for me. I sold some of my N64 games when I was younger, so being able to download some of them sounded amazing.

It was the only system I'd seen my wife at the time enjoy playing. It was Christmas and Wiis were still hard to find. There was one used one left at work and a guy I hated was interested in it so I bought it, basicly, to spite him. In the true spirit of Christmas :)

Meh, my mom wouldn't buy a 360 (had to fork out the cash for that myself) or a PS3 (though my dad eventually got one for the Blu-Ray player).

In all honesty, before I got my 360, getting a console that wasn't Nintendo had never crossed my mind. The only reason I got a 360 is because I didn't have the money to build a new PC at the time and wanted a quick and cheap (bought my 369 for $200 used) fix.

In any event, two reasons. Because I've always bought Nintendo systems and because of the games. Not that big of a decision.

Because of the 1st party offerings (why people always dismiss them?!), because of its arcade nature, because of the VC, because of the fulfilled promise of attracting new gamers of all ages, because of its exclusives and finally because of MARIO KART WII!! 8D

Because I've been a faithful nintendo fan since my SNES days. Nintendo made me a gamer and it shall remain that way with them. Also, because of Mario, zelda, and the motion controls made me pretty excited.

motion controls, then discovered a lot of good games on it. oh and SMG always blew my mind when I saw game play footages.
