Meh, my mom wouldn't buy a 360 (had to fork out the cash for that myself) or a PS3 (though my dad eventually got one for the Blu-Ray player).
In all honesty, before I got my 360, getting a console that wasn't Nintendo had never crossed my mind. The only reason I got a 360 is because I didn't have the money to build a new PC at the time and wanted a quick and cheap (bought my 369 for $200 used) fix.
