After a recent talk with Rol about which generation I started gaming as he said N64, GameCube I wondered how many gamers here started with Pong, Commodore64,Atari 2600, NES, PSOne,PS2/GameCube/X-Box. Unfortunetly since I can only have 6 answers I can't include out current generation so if your a newbie and started with the Wii/360 or PS3 say so in a post.

For those who don't know the generations I'll list them below.

1st generation - Magnovox Odessy , ColecoTelstar, Pong , Nintendo Color TV Game

2nd Generation - ColecoVision , Atari 2600, Sega SG-1000, Intellivision , Magnovox Odessy 2

3rd Generation- NES, Master System

4th generation - SNES, CD-i, Sega Genesis

5th Generation - Sega Saturn , Atari Jaguar, 3DO, PSOne, N64

6th Generation - GameCube , PS2, DreamCast, X-Box

I'm interested in how many gamers here on Vgchartz started gaming on which generations platforms?

I was going to list Commodore 64, Amiga etc...etc.. but the computers didn't fall into the generation spectrum and can't really be considered consoles. The question was which console generation was your first so I couldn't really include computers.

haha okay, just giving you trouble :P I put NES

4th gen with the Mega Drive and Sonic, Streets of Rage, Chaos Engine, Cannon Fodder, Mega Turrican, etc.

I started gaming in the PSone era (5th gen, although besides the N64 none of those consoles were popular in my country). But I played exclusively on the PC back then, my first console was in the 6th gen, xbox with Morrowind as my first game. I gained a love for consoles aswell as wRPG at the same time.
