Nintendo pissed in Pachter's cereal. He, and most of the industry, bet heavily against Nintendo this generation, and they are suffering for it. Like an injured animal, Pachter is lashing out.
I will use this as an example
(This is is no way meant to disparage other games or other systems, many of these games are fantastic. Also, a number of these do in fact outsell Wii Music when using combined totals, although many do not. I am simply trying to point out how, an industry that many people thought they knew and understood, got turned on it's head. When this happens, people who are involved financially tend to act like whiny little children, throwing tantrums and spewing gibberish.)
Wii Music, a game that performed so badly for Nintendo that they stopped producing it a little more than a year after they released it sold more than...

As an analyst, he missed a serious opportunity to make a lot of people a lot of money. Nintendo's stock went from a low point of $8.85 during the Gamecube days, to a high of $76.87 in the end of 2007 (http://finance.yahoo.com/q/bc?s=NTDOY.PK+Basic+Chart&t=5y).
When something like that happens, it only makes sense to ask this highly paid analyst if he deserves his salary. After all, in a horse race between three competitors, even a monkey has a 33% chance of guessing the winner. He's got to tell these people something.
