Even if they grind a lot before fighting the boss. The game's new leveling system in FFXIII does not let you to get stronger as much as you can. There are limits to raise your stats depending on what chapter you currently are. So bosses are bit more challenging than the previous FF titles. If you really want them to enjoy, I prefer you buy them games like J-Star Victory+ or Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 3. They will definitely enjoy it even if they're not that good at it.
It'd be better to get them Ni No Kuni. The game is better in every aspect.
