RE5 was great. shame i sold it.

It was okay. But the inclusion of co-op took away the tense and scary atmosphere that RE4 and the early RE5 trailers had. I mean at one point in the game we were going down a corridor and we saw all the infected and my buddy over the mic goes, "Man Aids Sure Is Fucking Up Africa".

Eh it was a little too much action adventure to be part of the survival horror genre which kinda left me wondering why the controls were still restained, they didn't really fit the action adventure game that it was.

Most of the game could have been fixed by making it night time, instead of day time, for me at least. Probably should have had a 'horror mode' where it follows all the typical horror themes... as in night time and lacking ammunition supplies.

i find this hard to swallow, i know its an opinion but damn......

As for me I didn't enjoyed much the game because it felt a lot like a RE4 extras episodes rather than a complete new adventure.

Also I played RE4 on the Wii and the controls with superior controls than the ps3 versions.

I might enjoy the game if I manage to play it on the ps move though.

Resi 5 was great but it didn't please the hardcore fans due to it's changing direction.
And it's still got tank controls.

And yes, the ending is completely ridiculous as well. I still can't wrap my mind around it.

Fun game (especially with co-op), it's just not very Resident Evil-y.

many people complainted about it because of how the series "scary factor" went downhill or simply dissapeared with the coop mode. Also the fact that the controls are smoother and the enemies smarter,

i personally didnt play it thought, gonna finish it after bioshock 2

I liked it, the 5m+ sales say that it was a fun game. The story was pretty bad and short (lets be honest) but the co op is so fun you just cant stop playing it.

I enjoyed it a lot. I do like RE5 but main problem is atmosphere.

RE has to take place at night. I played RE2 recently again and I had the right feeling after 40 seconds of playing. No comparison to RE5.

I enjoyed RE5 partially a lot but it just doesnt felt like RE4 or RE2. (If Leon is the main character the game is gona be awesome it seems).


I like also the coop. its ok to make some day scenes this african destroyed nomans lands even had some good atmosphere (but imo not the right one). I would rank RE5 on 3-4 place in the mainline.

Africa should have been sometimes at night and they should have really worked on the shock elements. I like the gameplay mechanics a lot I also like the coop mode but I hope they are going to improve the whole atmosphere in the next real RE. And hopefully they make a real Fullscreen Splitscreen Coop Mode.

Also RE5 could profit from move and the new incoming chapters. Its a good game I would give it a high 80s ranking. And bring back Leon in RE6. For me he is the real RE Star.


From the gameplay itself without taking atmosphere and story in account its the best RE of all time. But I just dont got the right RE feeling this time and thats for me really disappointing. Gameplay is for me just 50% the rest is story, presentation and atmosphere.
