The reason is because apart from Gears and Halo there are not many top notch exclusives on 360. There are a fair few more on PS3 and obviously some choices have to be sacrificed.

Also the American games market is dominated by shooters and the 360 install base is largely concentrated in America.

1,Put PS3 exclusives sales together,then they are not "SO BADLY" any more,'cause PS3 has got more great exclusives,that separates sales,IMO.

2,One year selling advantage that Microsoft sacrificed quality for gained a lot for XBOX360,selling something without competitor for a whole year is really "BIG".

Possibly, but it does boggle the mind that when big games like MW2 are pirated over a million times on the 360 version alone, just how much more sales 360 games would have without piracy.  It'd be ridiculous.  Same with Wii, DS, and PSP for that matter.

I think it's pretty clear that sales wise,

360 Shooters > PS3 shooters

anything else is probably the other way around.

WRPGs also tend to perform better on the 360. The PS3 dominates JRPGS thou so.

What we need to know is out of this 1 million person, how many would have actually purchase the game. This number can be fairly low in comparison to the pirated amount. Even more so with this game since it is recognize for his online. Your example would be more appropriate for a short single player game like Alan Wake, who may be greatly affected by piracy.

NaughtyDOG are owned by SONY so unless SONY decideds to publish gamea on compedeteres systems it will remain exclusive. 

you can't say pirated games hurt sales... Buying the x360 over Ps3 in the first place for those pirates is the very fact that they can pirate games. If you can't pirate games, they wouldn't even buy the x360.

If anything, the fact that games CAN be pirated only helped DS and the X360 sell better over PS3 and PSP (with the PSP starting in 3000 and Go unpiratable, and the fact that PSP is a system that can be easily updated via firmware which locks out new games being played on outdated firmware).

Zedex was talking about shooting games, not every exclusive game.
