I had low expectations for this game. Great surprise. Even though it is a on-rail shooter, it seems to be the best of them so far. Most on- rail are very short and have high prices. RE UC has the advantage here. 20+ hours of game, lots of replay value, co-op without split screen (like old Time Crisis). The fact that you can play it without buying another peripheral is also great. For 50 bucks this game seems to be a good deal.

Resident Evil 4 is a budget game and is critically acclaimed by both the press and the fans, both ensure big legs. If RE:UC shows similar legs, it may as well pass 1.5m WW.

I dont know if it changes something but...i buy one!
With a wii zapper bundle with zelda crossbow...i also buy Medal of honor...and the online is better than i first though.
With the ranking system who are very well.No lag...just big fun to showing to the world who is the best with the remote...MOUHAHAHAH

yea I think it is certain it will pass capcom's goal. First week sales in Europe combined with the the 238k will probably mean it gets halfway to the goal with 1 week of sales. I would guess 1.2 million WW LTD, about double their expectations.

The brand name itself will guarantee a million worldwide, and with the easily accessible gameplay, an optimistic guess would be two million worldwide. It all whittles down to whether or not the wider demographic of the Wii is willing to accept this type of simple, yet hardcore game. (Horror elements)

yeah, I know 1 million isn't really that bullish a claim. This should do well. Very well. Which is good, because it's fun. Very fun.

So Capcom has no more excuses. No more ports (a great port mind you) and spin offs. Bring the real thing to the Wii. If only Konami and other 3rd parties could learn from them. Here is what I think they talk in reunions:

Publisher: That crappy mini game that we made for the Wii sold only 60k units.
Developer: Disappointing. Our profits were only 500 k.
Publisher: I agree. On the other hand that multi platform game sold 1.200 k, those are solid numbers.
Developer: We really put a lot of work into that. We made 9 million in profits.
Publisher: If we could produce games with the costs of Wii and sell it like the HD titles ... Should we try and make a real game, I mean put more than a weekend into the development of a Wii game?
Developer: No, that makes no sense from a business standpoint.
Shareholder: Fuck. Our profits are down 60% comparing to last year.
