Apologies if this has been covered elsewhere, but I can't see anything and I have searched...

Anyway, I was just randomly looking at the charts the other week and I noticed that Nintendo were close to selling 1 billion units of software on Wii & DS combined, and they now appear to have broken the barrier with the current weekly updates.

DS software sales stand at 537,460,286 and Wii software sales stand at 462,874,005. This totals 1,000,334,291.

Needless to say, that is quite an achievement.

And probably most of that number is first party software - where the profit really are, I guess.
