Why do so many people dislike Vanille by the way? I think her character is fine, as well as Hope's.

Was a child who watched his mother die supposed to have a Kratos' style attitude and be all bad ass? He is a kid. His character makes sense.

Vaun was the main character that had no reason to be there, best way to sum him up and then Penelo had even less reason to be there.

Huh? I don't remember a "Vaan" being in FFXII. Wasn't Asch the main character? And who is Penelo?

I think Vanille and Lightning could carry FF XIII by themselves.  Love those two

seriously he saw his mother die, got turned into a l'cie (which he saw as monsters since his childhood), he got turned into one cus some moody cow who he had never met decided to attack a fal'cie with a sword....ermm if he did anything but whine I would be shocked.....

Vaan, sorry. yeah Ashe should have been the main character cause she had reason to be there, Penelo was Vaan's annoying female friend who was crap at everything.

Thats what I'm saying. There is nothing wrong with his character at all. I actually think he took his mother's death pretty well compared to other jrpg characters who lost a loved one *looks at the FFVII cover*.

Put on top of that the fact that if he doesn't complete his focus he will turn into a monster. His character makes completely sense.
