Epic Games makes Gears of War and, if Kotaku had to guess, maybe someday a sequel. At Game Developers Conference, Epic showed their latest Unreal game engine upgrades, including fancy foliage tech, pictured here. Want it in a Gears?

That looks really impressive.

Now if they could translate that to the typical gritty warzone of Gears, it would be quite a handsome step-up from Gears 2.

In terms of styling it looks very similar to Uncharted 1, but it does look rather pretty.

I don't want GeoW 3 to look like that, Aztec style ruins does not really suit GeoW

I think it would work well in GOW. can't wait for it to be announced.

I agree. It does look like Uncharted 1.

That would be awesome for at least a part of Gears 3.

Change that Aztec-like stuff for Locust-like stuff... And you have a winner.

That would be great for a few levels. Maybe they are on their way to locust nest and crash land in a jungle and have to fight their way out. The entire game being all green would kind of suck because earth is supposed to be all messed up and gloomy.
