Forums - Nintendo Discussion - North American boxart for Sin & Punishment: SS - pretty

very nice

looks good

Damn, that looks pretty...weird... I guess I'm just used to seeing the cool (IMO) JP box cover art.

Oh and today I just went to a store that had the game new for 3980 yen, I think I might pick it up the next time I stop by there!

JP boxart (also shown on that original link in the op) for comparison.

I like this box are much better. Other than the writing why the hell do they just not use the same boxarts?

Well it isn't a bad box art but it is busy. Which would definitely be an accurate representation of the game, don't get me wrong, but I think I like the Japanese one more. But still a good one.

Err. It looks weird and tries hard to be edgy. The old story, western covers supposedly have to be edgy for the game to sell.

Currently playing: NSMB (Wii)

Waiting for: Super Mario Galaxy 2 (Wii), The Last Story (Wii), Golden Sun (DS), Portal 2 (Wii? or OSX), Metroid: Other M (Wii),
... and of course Zelda (Wii)

After looking at it a bit more it kind of looks like what I would expect for a old Atari cover art.

The art is really nice on both, although I prefer the watercolour/gouache look of the Japanese one.
Quick question; is that a soccer ball resting on his neck on the NA box?

So does the North American boxart come with the IGN logo just like Okami on Wii?

I like the US one's background well enough (still think the JP is better, but not a huge gap). However the way the English title is positioned over the Japanese one, as well as its design, bring down the US boxart by a lot.
