Forums - Sales Discussion - Tennis masters Wii by Codemasters

I have you already heard about this Wii Tennis game by Codemasters ? http://www.amazon.fr/Codemasters-Tennis-masters/dp/B000N4S6EK/ref=pd_sbs_vg_1/403-9189089-7810022

Very interesting. As a connoseiur of tennis games, I would like to see how they design the game compared to the approach taken by Wii Sports tennis. Hopefully they can make it more in depth, especially with regards to character movement. BTW, this should probably have gone on "news."

I'm very much hoping/waiting for Virtua Tennis for Wii.

Sega in all their infinite wisdom said that this would not happen. Their reason? Due to the fact that there are so many tennis games in development for the Wii.

That makes no sense. There are so many because it's the perfect platform. Wii Sports tennis is great, but Virtua Tennis / Tennis 2K is still my fav'. Sega looks increasingly like a Nintendo second party anyways: not bring VT to the Wii is just nonsense... moreover because that game doesn't seem to benefit from 'next gen' graphics anyhow (T2K looked effectively photorealictic on the Dreamcast! To me the new PS3/360 one looks somehow slightly *worse*, only now in HD)

Sega's still selling very well on other consoles, and I doubt they'll stop making games for the PS3 and 360 yet...although I can definitely see increased Wii development.

Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

I agree, but as the Wii sales userbase grows so too will their development priorities become more diversified. (as BenKenobi said) Instead of simply Sonic & Nights type titles, thank the gaming Gods! Shinobi, VT, & the like may grace the Wii's platform.

Huh? I must have missed this one completely? Was it previously announced at some point? Looks like System3 really is getting back into development - hard. I have the pinball game they did for the Wii, and its pretty excellent (giving the limitations of it being pinball, AND a 'classics' title). Definitely looking forward to the Impossible Mission (games) as well - although Im more excited about a DS version than a Wii (or other) version.
