Reading the title of this thread (and of the VGC news post) I remembered this picture from a while back:

Just enjoy the game guys (well, apparently it's getting "bad Western review scores", I guess that's what an 86 on MetaCritic gets you now-a-days. )

Hey that's a lower score then Final Fantasy X-2!

Final Fantasy X-2 was a great game. Had so much fun with it.

I also enjoyed X-2 quite a bit. Review scores do not mean everything.

How noes! Sony said this way back in 2006!

They predicted the future!

lol, this is the first game thats actually like this and probably the only one too.

Well i know which version ill be renting..

basically the justification in terms of flaws of the DVD medium instead of absence of Blue-Ray is definitely unconvincing.

It's about time the 360 gets stuck with an inferior port.

So let me get this straight.....when 85% of multiplats are better on the 360 it no big deal......but when one game is better on the ps3 it is a big deal and everyone must get the "superior" version?

Theres a word for something like that and I think it starts with an "H"

Not really. Bayonetta and others come to mind.

And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

Not too bad, Right now Im not leaning on getting the game because of mixed reactions, but if or when I finally get it I'd

probably just get it for my ps3 instead, mainly due to the fact of the 3 disc swaping on the 360

could be my first multi game I get for ps3

especially on a big game. good job square enix but i still wont be buying your game

Ouch! that hurts, I love FF Cinematic but if its seriously compressed then it would be a downfall on 360 owners
But it shouldn't be much of a problem for those 360 owners who plays RPG and JRPG they should definitely still buy the game to support SE as there has been a lot of support from them.

LyrikalStylez - agree this could be my first multi platform game for my PS3 LOL Am glad the PS3 CGI graphics will be top notch

I disagree.

You seem a little mad.

Slightly worse... And was this enough to panic MS and the ballmer-boyz and make them start spreading FUD? LOL, this speaks of desperation...
Nintendo and its fans don't even have FFXIII on their platforms, nevertheless they don't panic at all.
As I wrote, Nintendo hasn't to hit foes to thrive. There's something regal in this. Something sweaty fat dancers on crack cannot understand.

i'm just glad because it seems to show that the Final Fantasy bias is wearing off. Not every Final Fantasy mainline game has deserved to score in the 90's yet they all have. No offense to Final Fantasy but they aren't alone on a pedastal like they're usually reviewd. JRPGs may be underreviewd as a whole... but it's better that it's uniform then uneven. I can't imagine FPS in japan get many 90+ scores.

I must clarify that I didn't mean to praise or mock any fan of either platform on this site, except a very few I see genuine enthusiasm even in some of the most trollish ones, I was just mocking MS and its astroturfers, it sprang to my mind reading that thread about the only review from a major site (Gamespot, IIRC) saying XB360 version's graphics are "crispier". Actually I'm not even a JRPG fan, I went close to buy a FF game only when I read the review of the PC version of FF VII, but I didn't anyway, I just found hilarious that a very small flaw, forgivable by anybody that isn't a graphic whore, unleashed such a FUDful and clumsy reaction around the net.
