meh, both companies are ok. Both companies have shit tactics. I like the idea of "Don't be evil" unfortunately when you decide to take millions of dollars to modify your search engine to track for free thinking Chinese you sorta deserve any slander you get. So yeah Jobs was right. Now the Chinese stole Google software. Interestingly enough LOTS of people were vocal to Google that that's exactly what would happen.

Jobs well. He's had his evil time. Now he's come back as grey.

I prefer Google over Apple due to Googles effort to push advancing technologies. I'm am so waiting for SPDY to come out :) Google does a lot of free stuff. There philosophy seems to be around free user and open commercialism for profits.

Most directly would be mobile phones with android phones, especially the Nexus One vs the iPhone. Jobs was pissed of that google dared give them competition, complaining that they (Apple) didn't go on Google's turf (search) but Google want to kill the iPhone.

Other stuff include Apple rejecting Google's app for iPhone, Google Voice, because it competes with the phione's core function. Google retaliated by making a HTML 5 version that works on any HTML 5 compliant browser (and thus the iPhone).

I'm sure there is more stuff but I don't follow it that closely and that is what I heard about.

Oh, almost forgot, Apple switched (or is going to switch) from Google to Microsoft Bing! as the default search engine on the iPhone.

just remember google, apple still has quasi religious fanatics on its side. we have seen what happens when they get started up in thing that they believe threaten their religion

now on to other things, not so long ago apple and google shard board members and funded each other, i guess when google broke into the hardware market, then panned an OS the parting was inevitable. but google has gotten spookly evil in alot of cases its a bit harder to erase data linked to you they have then it should be,

that being said i have no reason to leave either of them yet. though id say google is more replaceable then apple in my world.
