Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Anybody wanna play Mass Effect?

Im gonna play it again and try and get more achievements. I need to beat it on hardcore and insanity... Ugh gonna be alot of play time then i gotta get the insanity achievement for ME2.

I mostly play RTS and Moba style games now adays as well as ALOT of benchmarking. I do play other games however such as the witcher 3 and Crysis 3, and recently Ashes of the Singularity. I love gaming on the cutting edge and refuse to accept any compromises. Proud member of the Glorious PC Gaming Master Race. Long Live SHIO!!!!

I beat the game first on PC but lost my save. Found that game to be less fun on the second go round for 360. Go right ahead and play ME2. The save data transfer isn't fleshed out like you think it is.

I welcome you to the thread, assuming you want to play the game again, but I'd rather you leave your negative and/or unpopular comments at the door, out of respect for the gamers in this thread. You couldn't possibly know what I think.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

I know exactly what you think, I just don't know what you feel.  ;_;

Just because a person has the green xbox thing under their avatar pic dosn't mean they own the console :-/

I highly doubt he owns anything but sony products the way he acts.

And that's the only thing I need is *this*. I don't need this or this. Just this PS4... And this gaming PC. - The PS4 and the Gaming PC and that's all I need... And this Xbox 360. - The PS4, the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360, and that's all I need... And these PS3's. - The PS4, and these PS3's, and the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360... And this Nintendo DS. - The PS4, this Xbox 360, and the Gaming PC, and the PS3's, and that's all *I* need. And that's *all* I need too. I don't need one other thing, not one... I need this. - The Gaming PC and PS4, and Xbox 360, and thePS3's . Well what are you looking at? What do you think I'm some kind of a jerk or something! - And this. That's all I need.

I started Mass Effect 2 last week and I really couldn't remember the finer things about ME1 (I only beat it once). So, last night, I fired up ME 1 again.

I expected the game to have aged poorly and have all sorts of technical issues. Not the case. I'm actually impressed by the game. It still looks better than many games released today. The story is sucking me in a lot more, too. I guess I sort of rushed through my first playthrough and overlooked A LOT of stuff (I bought Mass Effect, Super Mario Galaxy, and Assassin's Creed on the same day, so my attention wasn't fully on this game). I'm loving it.

I just realized that I NEVER even used any of my party's special powers through that first playthrough, either. I played it like I was playing Gears of War. I spend a lot of time looking for that next game that's going to pull me in and wow me. It's embarrassing that I already had that game on my shelf for years. Even though I have ME2 and Assassin's Creed 2 on my shelf right now, there's no rush to get to them. ME1 is my current obsession.

I started a new Shep, default looks. I chose adept, and some how I have specialty in assault weapons(is that because I beat the game once already, cause I thought adept could only specialize in pistols.

Either way, I beat the first mission and I'm about to enter the Citadel.

Is there any point in specializing in light armor training as an adept? Is shield boost worth a crap?

So far, this is a much better game that I gave it credit for. Bioware is quickly catching up to Bathesda level entertainment for me with this series. I can't believe I didn't like this game the first time, lol, maybe it was because I was completely ignorant of its mythology until near the end, plus I played as a soldier.

I spent forever in the citadel doing side missions, yesterday. So much backstory and little things I skipped during that first playthrough--combined with the amount of time that's passed since I got the game and, it's like a whole new game to me.

I bought the "Bring Down the Sky" dlc about a year ago but, never played it. I got the pinacle Station content last night. I loaded the game to my HDD, too. It's a 2007 game, but I found myself looking at the character's (especially Wrex) skin, lip movements, and mannerisms and thinking, "Wow. This is so amazing."

Currently, I'm taking my time, exploring various planets.

It's much better to play ME1 before playing ME2, I used my save (full paragon soldier) and I couldn't remember half of the side quest people from the first game, they came to me, asked me if I remembered them and... it was rather lame that I couldn't. So I'm playing through ME1 right now (even if it's a pain, since the combat system is so lame compared to ME2).
