The exchange is a little more in favor of the USD at the moment, but 10,000 yen is about $120 USD.
The current 15,000 yen price of the standard 3DS is about $180 and the price of the Vita (wifi, no game/no memory card) is 25,000 yen almost $300.
Yeah, it's usually better to wait awhile before picking up a new system as you get a lower price, possibly a redesign as well as a large catalog of good games already available (and for a lower price!)
It can be kind of hard to resist waiting though. Especially when there are a lot of good games being released for that system.
No, I'm not in the US at the moment. I went to visit my family/home in California in August, but I've been back since then.
I still follow my 49ers though and watch all of their games! I check out the other games as well when I have time. NFL gamepass is great for watching nfl games internationally!
Well I wasn't there in the morning to check things out, so all the lines had already disappeared by the time I got to check things out.
Although, I was at Bic Camera (Nagoya) for a little this evening (Thurs.) and I saw 3 people buying the DQX + Wii console + usb stick bundle. I was only there for a few minutes picking up a strategy guide, so I was surprised to see that many wii's sell!
I haven't (personally) seen somebody purchase a wii a long time.
I just did surechigai with a ramuji ラムジ from Aichi, twice today in Nagoya!
I don't remember you living in Aichi before, but I thought that was quite a coincidence.
Well I was in Japan for a year as a student. After I went back to the U.S. and graduated. I came back and started Teaching at Elementary/Junior High Schools. After that I started teaching at International Schools.
Besides that I've been enjoying being here.
