Hey Dixie. I wrote a review for Skyfall. I know that you probably wouldn't be interested since you said that you weren't going to see it, but I figured that I'd tell you.

By the way, how have you been?

I'm always interested in your Bond reviews, amp. They're pretty fun to read. I'll go check out your Skyfall review.

I'm doing okay. Almost finished with colouring the Goldfinger picture, so I should have it posted within the next couple of weeks. The colouring is always the most time consuming part.

How is everything going with your moderator position? Personally, I would find it to be a difficult job, kind of like those cops who have give out parking tickets.

    on 19 November 2012

I can't wait to see your Goldfinger artwork. That is my favorite Bond film if you didn't already know.

Sometimes it does feel like I am handing out parking tickets as you say, but at others I feel like I am helping the community. A couple of "known" troublemakers have really slowed down on their antics since the newer guys have gotten in so that's a good thing. The only part about the job that I find a drag is when someone obviously did something wrong and leaves a lengthy multi-paragraph statement in your mailbox about how you don't know what you're doing.

    on 20 November 2012

Yeah, Goldfinger has always been one of my favourite Bond films, even as a kid. Goldfinger, The Spy Who Loved Me, and GoldenEye are my top three favourites in the series. I feel that I did a better job with drawing Connery this time, but I'll see what you think.

Wow, people actually send you private hate messages for doing your job?! That's just crazy. You see, that's why I personally couldn't handle a moderator position, because of the constant hate people would dish out. I guess some people have a way of being able to take that nonsense, but I would get frustrated pretty quickly.

    on 20 November 2012

I'm sure that you did a great job. As I said before, I think that I was looking for too much realism in Connery's face last time.

Oh yeah, quite a few members have told me that I can't do my job. The key is to just take it with a grain of salt since it goes with the territory.

Viewed your bond work. Thought it was very good! What did you use to create it?

Got some pictures from various books, and then just created my own design. The drawing and colouring is all done by hand. I use pencil crayons for the colouring.

I was going to comment but it would not load the registration screen. May I link some of your Mario pictures in a Nintendo news thread?

    on 05 September 2012

I have thought about posting my Super Miyamoto Bros. comic here, but then decided not to, because it's quite a large project, and there would be too long of a wait between posting new pages. I'm able to update one page at a time on DeviantArt, but I would need to update in sections of at least eight pages on VGChartz.

The link to my DeviantArt account is at the bottom of my profile page, so if people are interested in seeing the comic, as well as my other work, they can just go to the link. Besides, I don't think a fan comic is really considered Nintendo news worthy.

You know what? You know an awful lot about Bond and have my respect. It's too bad that it looks like we're going to disagree about the Craig movies. But you know what? I'd rather us have different opinions instead of either of us intentionally going along with the crowd.

I've loved the James Bond movies ever since I was around 5 or 6 years old, and have gained a lot of knowledge about it over the years trough books and other sources. But I still think you know more about it than I do. I honestly believe that my theory about Die Another Day is true. Again, I don't have actual proof that it is certain, but the theory doesn't seem too far-fetched.

    on 26 June 2012

I do think that you are absolutely right that the producers knew that they were going to get rid of Brosnan and reboot the series, but I don't think that they made a bad movie intentionally. It just turned out that way.

    on 26 June 2012

In my comment I did say that I wasn't going to imply that the poor quality was done intentionally, even though it sort of looks like it was. But the quality was slowly dropping after GoldenEye, and the producers were making some pretty poor decisions when it came to the choice of directors, some of the casting, and other things. It just seems that they didn't know what to do with Brosnan or the classic Bond formula after GoldenEye, and then just gave up altogether.

James Bond movies (with the classic Bond formula) are very difficult to make now than they were before. There's no more Ian Fleming books to refer to, no more Cold War, there's been various political/social changes, increased filming costs, and coming up with new ideas are some examples of the classic style of Bond movies becoming more difficult to make. But I think the world of James Bond is still very unexplored, and the reboot wasn't really necessary. The fact that EA could come up with better stories, characters, adventures, and so on for their Bond games proves this. It's almost like EA knew what they were doing with Bond and Brosnan more than the actual film producers.

    on 26 June 2012

What surprises me is that none of the continuation novels were ever made into movies. Many minor elements have made it into films, but It's not like they have ever adapted one of John Gardner's Bond novels. I've read a few of them and they all have a stronger story than the last three Brosnan films. It's almost as if they are saying that they would rather write crappier stuff than Gardner because Gardner isn't Fleming, but they have the rights to those and all of the other Bond books not written by Fleming so I honestly don't understand why they haven't tried this sort of thing yet.

    on 26 June 2012

Yeah, I'm not quite sure why they wouldn't refer to other non Fleming Bond books for the films. Another thing I personally feel that they should also do is stop trying to get these films out every two years. As I mentioned previously, Bond movies are harder to make now than they were before. During the Connery/Moore eras, they were able to produce these films much faster since they had the Fleming books, the Cold War, more ideas at their disposal and so on. But now that this isn't the case anymore, I think it would be much better if they took perhaps every three or four years to make a new Bond film. As a fan, I'd rather have the producers take a little more time to make a better film, and not have them try to rush out a new film every two years.

Yeah, I hope that you post the latest installments of your comic on here.

Well, because the Super Miyamoto Bros. comic is quite a large project , it's a bit difficult to post it here. I can update one page at a time on Deviant Art, but I would need to post in sections on VGChartz of at least eight pages or so.

So if I post my completed pages here, there would be a gap of time before the next section could be posted. If you're interested in keeping up with the comic, then just go to my Deviant Art account link a the bottom of the page.
