It would be nice if the gamerconnect Hot Topics and Latest Topics threads had a sub-title with it's discussion location, similar to how it is done in the frontpage Forum - Hot Topics. If that would be the case, I would use both these topics more often, since at it currently stands it is hard to know where each thread comes from. I think that's one of the reasons people prefer the frontpage Hot Topics.
