Proudest Platinums - BF: Bad Company, Killzone 2 , Battlefield 3 and GTA4

Completed:
1. Smash Bros. Ultimate - World of Light (NS)
- This took a while. I enjoyed every second of it though, despite it being a missed opportunity for great character interactions in cutscenes.

2. Mega Man 11 (NS)
- Very happy to see this series back! My favourite in the original series is still 7, but this comes after that.

3. Mighty Gunvolt Burst (NS)
- Loved it. I enjoyed the Gunvolt series and Mighty No. 9, so having them together was really fun.

4. Starlink: Battle for Atlas (NS)
- If you have a Switch and are a fan of Star Fox, do yourself a favor and get this game. I wish the toys to life aspect of the game did not exist and you had the complete package when you buy the retail version, but the gameplay is so addicting. Leveling up your pilots, weapons, and ships was a lot of fun and even though the missions get repetitive, I never once got bored.

5. Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology (3DS)
- It was decent. I liked the voice acting, time mechanics and combat system. Makes me wonder why Atlus would add voice acting for a remake of a DS game that did not initially have it, but chose no voice acting (english) for Persona Q 2....

6. Starfox 64 3D (3DS)

7. Y's VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana (NS)
- Very surprised by this game. My first Y's title and I loved it. That soundtrack was awesome (reminded me of a blend of some sonic, xenoblade, tokyo mirage sessions, and mega man). The gameplay was addicting. The story was pretty good. The characters are mostly one dimensional but man Sahaad was always my favourite! (I ship Laxia and Adol). Makes me hope Y's 9 comes to the Switch!!!

8. Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus (NS)
- I'm not very good at FPS, so I played it on baby mode (or whatever it is called lol). Had a decent time with it. I enjoyed it more than Doom. I think Doom is just too fast paced for me. The story was also interesting.

9. Luigi's Mansion (3DS)
- The Gamecube original is one of my favourite games of all time! Loved revisiting this on the 3DS. I had the 3D effect on for about half of my playtime because it was great! I do think it would have been better suited to the Switch though, packed with Dark Moon, but whatever. Looking forward to 3!

10. Valkyria Chronicles 4 (NS)
- My first entry in the series. I loved this. The characters, story and music. I teared up at one point and only a handful of games have ever done that to me. The gameplay was solid. If you love strategy RPGs, this is a must.

11. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (NS)
- My second time playing through this game (first time on Switch). While I only liked the game when it launched, I enjoyed it immensely more the second time around. It definitely is a phenomenal game, even though it is not even close to my favourite. Still though, the sequel has me so excited.

12. Dragon's Dogma (NS)
- I saw many people compare this to Skyrim, so I thought I'd give it a shot. It was pretty decent. Definitely worth the $40. The combat is more fun than Skyrim, but that is all that it has over it.

13. Final Fantasy X (NS)
- My first FF experience. While not perfect, it was an amazing experience. Definitely looking forward to more, although I tried about 1 hour of FFX2 and could not stand it.

14. Super Mario Maker 2 - story mode (NS)
- I had a blast playing through the story mode. It almost felt like a full game all on its own. I just wish it was presented a little  better. Makes me want them to make a full new 2D Mario game.

15. Fire Emblem: Three Houses (NS)
- 100 hours in and have beaten the Church of Seiros route, about to complete the Black Eagles route (as of Oct.15). I will play the other two routes after and return to it once the story DLC gets released. This is by far my favourite Fire Emblem game. From an objective standpoint, it is obviously not perfect and I wish it ran a little smoother. But in terms of my personal experience, I'd say this enters my top 20 GOAT. The soundtrack has become one of my favourites. I've never been a "waifu" person, but I love Petra. I will only marry her in every route as she is obviously the best option.

- Finished all 4 routes. 240 hours. I enjoyed all of it. One of my favourite games of all time. I hope the DLC is really meaty, like a 5th option or something.

16. The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening (NS)
- I loved this remake. It is definitely the best way to play the game. Not the greatest top-down Zelda, but it is still fantastic and I hope they remake all of them for Switch. The small anime cut-scenes are so great, they make me wonder why they haven't done a Zelda anime anthology series yet. The updated soundtrack is fantastic all around. The artstyle is gorgeous. What keeps this from a perfect 10 for me are two things: the frame rate drops, and the inventory set up; while yes, the latter was very much improved, it could have been much better. The A button should have been default jump. ZR and ZL could have been used for item inventory and the D-pad could have been used for ocarina songs.

17. Yooka-Laylee (NS)

- For better or worse, it plays exactly like a 3D platformer from the 64 era. The characters and humour were standouts. The frame rate dropped a lot though. The camera was wonky at parts. Sometimes the controls were unresponsive. Other than that, it was a very decent game. I'm very much looking forward to the sequel; it seems to be more polished.

18. Cadence of Hyrule (NS)

- I spent all last night playing this with my brother in-law. It was so much fun. A very addicting experience from start to finish. Short yes, but the length of the game is perfect for what it is. The soundtrack was so good. I hope for more wacky spin-offs in Nintendo's future. (maybe a physical edition too :P)
