Sony and Nintendo are using the age old product recognition tactic. Its aimed at kids and teens, this specifically anyways. Its for people that will buy this product based off the cover alone. Like when a kid buys a specific toothpaste, snack item, cereal because their favorite character is on the front, same deal.

Smart by both Sony and Nintendo, capitalizes off that market in the same way they advertise to adults with spider-man bundles and Smash bundles

Yes, that's pretty much exactly what I meant in my post. It's just branding. But in the absence of a bundled product that has any monetary value, it's just kinda weird. Like if Mcdonald's ran a "Buy a Big Mac, get a FREE cup of tap water" promotion. You can still get that tap water for free anyways. :)

Well, the bundled includes 1000 V-cash and special in-game items so no, it's not the same thing.

Close enough. $9.99 worth of Fortnite junk and exclusive baubles is a dubious value. A traditional bundle saves real world money, which you could use to buy your family 10 Big Mac and tap water combos.

Is the PS4 Fortnite bundle no longer being sold?

I think that bundle was limited. Also it was Europe only.

Anyway smart move by Nintendo.

huh, a bundle for a free to play game? Is that a first?

No. Sony just did this a few months back with Fortnite

And Wii with Wii Sports and before that Sega Master System with Alex Kidd in the Miracle World.

If I didn't get mine months ago, I'll pick this up

Well, Nintendo is going all out for that 20M goal isn't it .

I predicted this bundle when Fortnite was announced for the NS .

In the wilderness we go alone with our new knowledge and strength.

So they have this bundle in October along with Smash and Pokemon bundles in November. If they decide to do some sweet Black Friday deals, that should be enough for them to ship 20 million like they want to.

On top of that they have 2D Mario in January to keep post-holiday momentum strong.

That is true. Honestly, if they play their cards right these next 6 months, Nintendo may actually ship 21 million.
