No big deal you're new here. Older members know that the leaks are accurate because the member leaking them is never wrong. He has access to the data.


Thank you for understanding, and for being civil. I would like to see this data, it would go a long way to making me see how accurate they are. Some forget that I haven't seen these leaks before, so thanks for being cool about it! I am skeptical of everything! That's just me, but I beleive things when I see it, too. I'd love to "know" they are reliable and accurate. I'm sure they are, but no matter how many people "tell" me they are, I'm still the type of guy that needs to see hard evidence, so please, anyone out there who has some, you don't even need to show tons, just a few examples, it would help! I want to beleive these leaks, and I'm sure I will over time, but it would be a lot faster than waiting for the next several months to try and compare them to, if I can get prior months to look at. Thanks talal, for being cool about it.

Aquamarines leaks are legit. They deserve respect for a) having the balls to leak the numbers and b) actually posting them on a forum when people ask. I appreciate that, though it doesnt mean I need to sit around and let them badmouth the site I visit daily.

I'm fully aware of the definition of ignorant.... But in the real world when someone calls the that, it's usually more of an insult than it is to say, you lack info or knowledge. It's more of a "nicer" way to call someone dumb. And I said too, I don't know who these people are, so im a skeptic until I see they are trustworthy. And yes, I am a bit defensive. I felt like I was being ganged up on, and I was in a way. Multiple people saying the same thing. And for what? Being skeptical.... That, and only that. It's human nature. So, if I am being overly defensive, sorry for that. But I don't feel like being skeptical of something is worth being called ignorant, even if it may not have been intended as an insult....

There is no corresponding NPD data released, which is why we have to rely on leaks from people such as Aquamarine.

On GAF, the mods verify that the people who leak things are legit, from sales leaks to game leaks to things such as E3 leaks. If they are found to be bullshitters, they are banned. Simple as that.

Aquamarine has legit numbers.


This is in regards to the last part of there not being any corresponding data. I understand that gaf  verifies users and their information. But what makes me a skeptic, is guys like misterxmedia( I think that's his name) isn't he a gaffer? Isn't he verified?(I'm asking because I don't know), and isn't that guy completely full of crap like 99% of the time? Answering that would help me understand gaf a bit better. If he is still a gaffer, and he is comstantly wrong, don't they lose credibility? I've only been a lurker here, and only just recently  started reading about guys like this. So if they still stand behind a guy like this xmedia, that's why I am skeptical of anything coming from gaf... Maybe some can shed some light on this?

I don't think you are thinking about MisterXmedia. He is not verified. If that guy posted in Gaf, he'd be out of there faster than his first post.  He's not even full of crap.  Crap pours out of him.    BS would be too far kind of a word for his posts.  It's absolutely dreadful.  

 

I think you're thinking about CBOAT.  No one is certain about him.  I've seen stuff that says he's been verified and I think I have seen stuff that he hasn't actually.  If you looked at his posts though, when they get to here you see a lot of people believing him and quite a few that don't believe him.  It's not the same case with this person.  Everyone here seems to believe Aquamarine(?).

I'm not certain about CBOAT's accuracy though.  I've seen some stuff that seems to make him very inaccurate, but he does have a reputation and he has that reputation for a reason.  And the type of stuff that he has shown, a lot of it changes on a dime.  A very recent event may even give him credence that he is actually someone in the know.  It's hard to say how reliable he is.

At least you can see why I just couldn't beleive these people if they were associated with xmedia cboat is another one, but that ones not as horrible as x. Thanks for at least being willing to tell me what the story with these guys are... And with cboat, if he is truly a gaffer, surely that can at least make one understand my skepticism, at least a bit. If cboat is a gaffer, and wrong half the time, then surely some off the others can be wrong too, no? Any way, I can at least trust a little more, but it will still take time to see how accurate they are over time. And can't Sony, ms, and nintendos financials kind of prove or disprove their numbers? Thanks guys, for being understanding of my ignorance.. ;)

Look dude, if you can't see that some here are coming at me, well I can't help you with that. I'm a skeptic of leakers, right or wrong, I'm just skeptical of a lot of things. There's no need for multiple people to come at me calling me ignorant and things like that, so yeah, I'm feeling a tad defensive just for having a skeptical view of leakers. Over time, when I see they are in fact always accurate, then I'll trust them. It's just my nature to question things. Why is everyone seemingly attacking me for my stance on this? I really don't get it. I have to see things for myself, and that can only take time, as more months go by and I can see how accurate they are, not just because some call me ignorant and tell me they are accurate.

If your someone new like Talal said then you should just be watching instead of making comments about the leak. It helps to know what's going on first. 

spot on, Opps I commended :) I am enjoying VGcahrtz, I am new, and I agree, I just created an account after readind and taking in info for months. Its takes a while, I am almost there, I think :)

I think that just how it is to be a fan.  When the number is good for your console, the numbers actually matter but when it isn't "Sales don't matter".  Yes I'm talking to Nintendo and Xbox fans.  I have read so many comments like that to justify their point.
