I'm going by the fact that as soon as MS released their latest report about how many units they had sold their seemed to be quite a bit of backpedaling as to what the actual margins between the consoles were.

The 'backpedaling' was just after the nintendo report, as I understand it.

It was after Microsoft announced that they had sold 38 million units a couple of weeks ago.  Although backpedalling after a Nintendo report might indicate some pro-Nintendo bias.

Er try closer to 39 million ... and this conspiracy theory of yours is ridiculous. Microsoft can't lie to shareholders about it's sales. They have to tell the truth.

Unless their shareholders approve of it.  Kind of like Bush and the price of gasoline.

Let me see if I get your logic: Microsoft is telling their shareholders how many units they sold, so that they can get permission from their shareholders to lie to their shareholders, so they can tell their shareholders that they sold more units so the shareholders will be happier?

Can I buy drugs from you?

That's not how businesses work. Shareholders want to make money, not to invest in companies that lie to them and fail.

Wii has more 20 million sellers than PS3 has 5 million sellers.

The adjustments were made due to the nintendo report. I checked, Ioi stated this himself. There. Now you know.

And yet if the opposite had happened you can bet txrattlesnake would be here saying he knew it instead of making baseless accusations.   With some people when the review scores and sales numbers are good there's lots of praise and those numbers can be trusted, when it's the opposite it's claims of bias and conspiracy theories and that the numbers are complete garbage.  Some people just can't seem to take the bad with the good.

Hey guys, I believe the Wii has 90% market share, and the 360 has only sold 2 million units, and Metal Gear Solid 4 sold a billion copies. Can I be mad at VGChartz because they are proving my idiotic fantasies wrong too?

No, just believing is not enough. You must B3LIEVE like him, then it's gonna be true.

So, let me get this straight.
As long as the numbers in this site (since PS3 relaunch in September) indicate a significant PS3 rise, all are good and cozy.
When the numbers are adjusted after a holiday season, that is a critical period that errors can be made, it is M$ that FUDGES the numbers.
...
I have no other comments your lordship...

Most data from September through January indicates that the PS3 was soundly topping the 360 from the relaunch of the PS3 at $299 in September through the holiday season.

After looking bad in the holiday season with their sales being far below PS3 at Amazon, etc, MS needs good pr like an uptick in sales to look better.

The PS3 being ahead of 360 in Others, then suddenly being 300,000 behind is suspicious.

If sales look a bit better than they actually are now, that might make it easier to get future sales.

Yes because when a consumer goes to buy a console 36 million sold doesn't quite cut it, they need it to have sold at least 37!!

Dude will you listen to yourself?
