Anyways, Famitsu is not a reliable source for game reviews. They gave Red Steel 1 a 34/40.

If you're going to enjoy this sort of game, you have ot be able to ignore reviews. Reviews mean nothing for these kinds of games. I still expect it to be awesome.

One of my FAVORITE games last generation has a Metacritic review score of 56.

It's graphics are bad, their is a lot of variety that is basically the same stuff, the cameras are bad, the story has plotholes and is like a REALLY poor version of sparticus, some of the design decisions are downright confusing....  there is so much more that should of been done for co-op but damn it... the gameplay is fun and deep.

Really, when the gameplay is just fun and addicting enough, nothing else matters.

 

Though ED2017 has a lot more going for it then JUST gameplay... as probably does this game.  ED2017 having strange proclivities that aren't going to be to everyones tastes... but really unless you see a lot of complaints about gameplay.... AND they're complaints that bother you... there is no reason to let it deter you.


I guess my point with the above is though... if your open... you'll find a lot that surprises you.
