omg this thread is making me laugh to much

Earth Defense Force 2017... a game that people swear by... and that is supposed to be similiar has a metacritic review score of 69.

If you expect higher then around a 7 for review scores for this game... your going to be disapointed.

and shared by more people than some want you to believe, in the last game informer in the letter section they brushed off someone saying edf is actually a good game, saying basically they know better than him, If they actually bothered to respond I bet the get a significant amount of mail about edf,

anyway EDF in my opinion the 3rd best game on the 360 (retail), only behind ultimate genesis collection and Gears 2

personally I couldn't care less if this game recieved an average in the 50's at metacritic, I would still buy it

I'm betting on a metaranking of 60-70% when its released west. I don't think professional reviewers are going to like this game much. I love it though, cannot wait.

The game is not bad ,its just not a epic ... there is nothing wrong with that besides Famitsu gave a 35 for Super Mario Bros 3 (when i found that out, i sad "I will never again trust famitsu") just kidding the fact is that japanese people dont like games where all you do is Kill stuff ...the pretty much explains everything to me ... i think it will get at least a solid 8 or 8.5 in here in the west

If you're going to enjoy this sort of game, you have ot be able to ignore reviews. Reviews mean nothing for these kinds of games. I still expect it to be awesome.

That's an horrible score.

A 28/40 in Famitsu is very bad and usually translate into a 5-5,5/10 in average for other reviewers.

Let's say that I am totally disappointed, I was interested in the game but not anymore that I know that it's certainly a bad game.

Oh well. It would be better if it got a higher score, but it's not necessarily reflective of what I'll like or what the public will like. Famitsu scored Wii Sports 30/40, after all.
