Strange to see the DS third with so many titles!

Any noticeable cause for the losses? Did some games sell beyond expectations?

Oh it sells them greatly as long as they are:

Ben10: Alien Force/ Protector of Earth/Alien Force 2 or Active Life: Extreme Challenge

In fairness Taiko and SD Gundam are also up there.  And Wii seems to be the only console capable of pushing an exclusive to decent sales.

Seems like Namco-Bandai will beat Sega for the biggest loss amongst japanese 3rd parties for the fiscal year (31 000 million yen loss)

These losses can be attributed to the fact that Extreme Life: Outdoor Challenge did not sell the the 15 million copies that Namco Bandai thought that it would.

It looks like it's time for five Wii Ski sequels.

So now it appears that we have a company whose losses are attributable to strong Wii sales -- while others attribute them to weak Wii sales?

OK, enough sarcasm. Seriously though, it seems like there were management and projection errors being made -- hence a management shake up is occurring.

I actually wonder why they didn't include western sales, it was during this reporting period?  Maybe the massive overshipping bit them in the end, and they had to take some stock back?

 The official reasoning behind the loss is lower than expected sales of all games released in the period with the exception of Tekken 6. So they kinda do blame the Wii.

OP is wrong... last time I checked, SD Gundam G Generation Wars is for PS2/Wii, not PS2/360.
