Namco Bandai Holdings shared its third quarter earnings report today. If you want the bad news -- and there's a lot of it! -- see this story. If you don't care about losses and personnel cuts, and just want to know which games and systems did best for the company, read on.

Wii was the Namco Bandai's biggest performer for the first nine months of the year, spanning April through December 2009. Wii saw 9 unique releases (bunching localized versions together) for total sales of 3,765,000 million units. PSP was second with 3,351,000 across 13 titles.

Here's the company's full hardware-separate sales chart:

  • Wii: 9 titles, 3,765,000 units
  • PSP: 13 ttles, 3,351,000
  • DS: 26 titles, 3,083,000
  • PS3: 5 titles, 2,015,000
  • PS2: 4 titles, 1,798,000
  • X360: 5 titles, 1,256,000

The Ben 10 series of titles were the company's biggest releases over the period, with Alien Force selling 870,000 units and Protector of the Earth selling 540,000. These were released in Europe and North America for Wii, PS2, PSP, and DS. Tales of Vesperia sold 490,000 units worldwide over the period, placing it ahead of such titles as Afro Samurai, Gundam VS Gundam, and Tekken 6. Sales of Vesperia are merged across PS3 and 360, although the PS3 version was released only in Japan.

  • Active Life: Extreme Challenge (Wii, 460,000)- Worldwide
  • Ben 10 Alien Force 2 (X360/Wii/PS2/PSP/DS, 430,000)- US and Europe
  • Afro Samurai (PS3/Xbox360, 420,000)- US ans Europe
  • Mobile Suit Gundam Gundam vs. Gundam (PSP, 410,000)- Japan and Asia
  • TEKKEN 6 (PS3/Xbox360, 400,000)- Japan and Asia
  • Taiko Drum Master 2 (Wii, 380,000)- Japan and Asia
  • SD Gundam G Generation Wars (PS2/360, 370,000)- Japan and Asia

Japan made up the bulk of unit software sales for the nine months, with 65 releases selling 6,502,000. The US followed with 4,147,000 units split across 30 titles. Europe trailed behind with 4,040,000 units split across 40 titles.

Tekken numbers are for Japan and Asia only. Western sales are not included.

No, thats only for April - December 2009.

Basically the PS3 version's 350k and another 140k on X360. The xbox 360 version released in Europe last June or July(as in 2009).

Oh it sells them greatly as long as they are:

Ben10: Alien Force/ Protector of Earth/Alien Force 2 or Active Life: Extreme Challenge
