Having just played and finished Mass Effect 2 on the 360 and having played Killzone 2 on the PS3 I have to say with some certainty that there is no graphical difference between the two consoles.

IMHO

My brother has mass effect 2 and I ofcourse have Killzone 2, so I have seen both of them. While mass effect 2 is a lot better optimized than the first game and has nicer texture work, it is not even in the same league as killzone 2 graphic-wise (shader and lighting wise is no competition).

Hmmmm statement of opinion as fact !

Whoop Whoop FANBOY ALERT.......Whoop Whoop etc

Oh right, it's certainly not in the same league, ME2 is not PS3 exlusive after all

:dull:

I think that the PS3 is sorely missing some exclusive split screen co-op games. Something the 360 excels in. I'm kind of tired of showing a game to my friends and then tell them that they have to play it alone.

and..

From what I can tell, as good as Mass Effect 2 looks, there is far less going on on-screen than in Killzone 2. But I could be wrong. I probably couldn't see past Yvonne Strahovski's model.

Reading is fundamental, if you read the bold orange writing you can see I am talking about technical specs.  This is not opinion this is fact, unless you have an sd tv, then you would not see all the graphical techniques that abound in killzone 2.  Notice the purple writing, it does not say that the game (Mass effect 2) is an "ugly" game, it just seems alot further behind in the graphical benchmark category than Killzone2 (possibly because it is an wrpg imo).

In terms of exclusives, since that's what the article is about, I agree. However, good luck with this one, I don't see it ending too well. It's the very reason when I was contemplating posting it, I quickly retracted the idea.

What do you place the over-under for bans due to this thread at?  I would say at least 2.  The thread happened to end up smelling of a fanboy partisan propaganda piece.  The 360 is "aged" and the PS3 is set to last a "LONG" time.  And of course, someone HAS to post that the 360's graphics THIS year need to be compared to the PS3's games NEXT year.

This thread is a train wreck waiting to happen.

Well one marked difference between 360 games and PS3 games is that the 360 exclusives like GoW2 and Halo 3 have split screen (with Halo 3 allowing up to 4 players on one 360).

Comparing this to the PS3 exclusive games like Killzone 2 and Uncharted 2 which both lack any split screen and for Killzone 2 even co-op

I dont really understand the point of split screen in a FPS game... Or even Co-op. Full screen in a FPS game is how I like to play! Maybe split screen in a racing game!

You have something called "FRIENDS" who you want to do a game with in your play area (in person), so you can talk smack and so on.   You prefer playing with friends, rather than strangers you are more inclined to think of as more realistic playing bots.  This is why people want to do FPS, even if you don't.  It also ended up being a reason for FPS games, the 360 is the system of choice where I am.

yes Crytek is the graphical king.. but play Crysis on a PC with about the same specs as a PS3 and you'll see that Naughty Dog did a way better job

If a PC NOW is outperforming the PS3, I am hard pressed to think why anyone would argue that the PS3 somehow has a "long" life (and the 360 is "aged"/"aging").  It is also hard to argue how Sony is setting any graphics bar when PCs are outperforming the PS3.

Maybe people can start to debate what has fun games, that look good, because this has more of an ability to withstand the test of time.

Totally irrelevant. You still stated opinion as fact.

I only call you out on this as you are still young enough not to fall into the internet "opinion is fact" trap.

Debating is an artform that few master. Refraining from wild unsubstantiated statements is paramount.

This should spark debate.

Wow! So no "tort" to my fully fleshed out arguments then?  Obviously debating is not your strong suit.
