Well one marked difference between 360 games and PS3 games is that the 360 exclusives like GoW2 and Halo 3 have split screen (with Halo 3 allowing up to 4 players on one 360).

Comparing this to the PS3 exclusive games like Killzone 2 and Uncharted 2 which both lack any split screen and for Killzone 2 even co-op

I dont really understand the point of split screen in a FPS game... Or even Co-op. Full screen in a FPS game is how I like to play! Maybe split screen in a racing game!

Yeah..go figure...why your at it why not say why we don't need 4 controllers being able to be used on a console....not like anyone wants to play a campgin mode with thier friends in the same room.

Yeah it's difficult for X360 to beat Uncharted 2 and GT5. Crysis 2 and possibly Rage might come close.

Maybe Elder Scrolls 5 will look better than any game we've discussed in this thread so far.

Comparing this to the PS3 exclusive games like Killzone 2 and Uncharted 2 which both lack any split screen and for Killzone 2 even co-op makes you wonder how good 360 exclusive games would look if they gave up having local multiplayer features. Not that I would want them to since for me playing next to a friend is always greater than slightly better graphics.

With Halo Reach said to have at the very least the same multiplayer features as Halo 3, looking at its graphics becomes pretty impressive. Pulling off graphics better than GoW2 in huge maps fighting against a massive covenant army with your friend sitting right next to you is no small task.

Exactly what I wanted to point out as well, sure Killzone 2 is touted as the graphics king of the time setting the bar up along with Uncharted 2 but at the cost of having a buddy sit on the couch with you and experience coops and add to more friends and enjoy online multiplayer together!

Seeing how Bungie came out to talk that all the screenshots we've been seeing pop up from ebgames and other sources are all off the November 2009 Alpha build of the engine only telling me we have yet to see the true finished product polish. Bungie also brought up an interesting point that the new assault rifle has as many polygons as a whole marine model from Halo 3 (Alpha build has lots of place holders). I expected some great graphics, a great story, and the ability to play with three friends online schooling people from the couch.

I have a PS3 and this is the key component missing, I have too many friends to sit and play single screen shooters even if it's a hair prettier. Guess that speaks for sales numbers comparing Killzone 2 and a high end platform shooter like Halo (one would figure they would learn from the market). Same goes for the Resistance series, Resistance 2 seemed like a step back pulling features from the game and cutting back to two player split screen (and the game imho doesn't look any better than Halo 3).

I think 360 has some graphically impressive games on it considering it is a year older than the ps3.

Halo 3 splitscreen, can it be played online? I mean let's say I have a buddy or three in the same room but only one X360, can we all play online on split-screen together?

Who cares, I prefer my full screen. Online multiplayer is fine by me as well but, split screen in FPS is not. (and thats my opinion!)

CPU: Ryzen 9950X3D
GPU: MSI 4090 SUPRIM X 24G
Motherboard: MSI MEG X670E GODLIKE
RAM: CORSAIR DOMINATOR PLATINUM 32GB DDR5
SSD: Kingston FURY Renegade 4TB
Gaming Console: PLAYSTATION 5 PRO

I would generally prefer a single experience or an online experience compared to a local co op one. Resistance 1 and Gears of War was the only co op game I enjoyed. But when games like Resident Evil 5 incorporates co op, I die a little inside. Killzone 2 is the same way, it's meant to pull you into a war zone with it's incredible visuals and gameplay, split the screen it and takes away from the experience. The only game I'd want to be Co-op would be the Battlefield Bad Company games, they suit the role fairly well, plus the environments and gameplay suit it better.

Bet with Conegamer and AussieGecko that the PS3 will have more exclusives in 2011 than the Wii or 360... or something.

Pfft graphics bar blah blah. Naughty dog done wonders ye right. Crytek are gods. Crysis>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Killzone+uncharted. Ye so this is pretty pointless, graphics bar will be set by a multi and will not be surpassed until next gen consoles. Tho yet again it just seems right to point out, Pc>consoles.

crytek aren't gods.any good dev can make crysis like graphics on the PC with high system requirements.you just increase the system requirements on PC and you got better graphics.

but to do awesome graphics on a limited system like consoles takes a very good developer like Naughty DOG,GUERILLA games, polyphony digital, square, team ico, kojima, epic, santa monica, etc.

On a few exclusives perhaps, but only with over-expensive costs.

If you take third party gamles into account the conclusion is in favour of 360

the only reason third party 360 games are better cause 360 is the lead platform for them.the game is then ported to PS3.

it is alot easier to develop for the 360 than PS3.

Why don't you guys understand these thing?do some research and then come back

Yes you can go online with 4 people on the same 360 for Halo 3

Just because you don't understand it doesn't mean thats what the majority think. In fact you are in an extreme minority. I and many people have friends come over to their place a lot and one of the things we do when we hang out is play games. The most popular games when your hanging with your friends is SSBB, Halo, Call of Duty, Mario Kart and pretty soon NSMB Wii will probably be included in the games too. All those games have 4 player local multiplayer and what do you know, all those games have also sold the most this gen too.

Split screen is a major factor even today, just because you don't care for it doesn't mean everyone else doesn't.

I agree...Take crysis for example...make it 4 person split screen....do folks still honestly expect it to still look like it does solo?..*nope..or atleast I hope not*

Folks I guess don't realize how taxing it is hardware wise it is to do more than one person on a console...KZ2 would only maybe barely beat GoW2 in grphx if it did split screen...then again a 10million dolloar game vs the uber $$$ dev cost of KZ2....hmm

Um, Halo 3 had a higher budget than both. That proves nothing really.

You do realize I was talking about GoW2 with the 10million comment*which it was like 11-14million*

Thanks for...!

1)Did you miss the whole thing about 4 co-op on one console vs 1 person on 1 console bit.

2) Use your head abit...make KZ2 4 local co-op and then tell me how uber the grphx are.

3)..You of all folks should know what each system can do...just going off  hardware specs.
