I'd bet Microsoft drops the price on 360 prior to the Natal launch, but then Natal will be cheaper when bought bundled. So, essentially they drop the price, but make it back plus a bit when you opt to add natal separately later. A backdoor stable price , but one that sells more boxes in the long run.

That's my guess. So those who says price is same AND those who say price drops are both correct in a way.

They'll increase the HDD from 120gb to 250GB instead of a price cut.

I suspect they will reduce the price and increase the spec paving the way for a more expensive 360 Natal system. I would imagine it will happen late spring early summer. This assumes that Natal remains on track.

It is highly unlikley that Sony will follow suit at this point having shot its load already.

Trade-off concept can come into play...as microsoft tends to reduce the price of the console, the specs will increase with Natal and thus bringing the price of the console to around same or likely more. Wand on the other hand will be launched after price-cut bringing in on the same fate. And then we need to see the sales of the HD consoles as real test begins. It mite be time for either consoles to reconsider a new successor, especially the one that mite fail to attract masses.

The Wand was delayed until fall already. The 360 will probably get at least one price cut before that.

I wouldn't really expect another price cut for the 360, the software of natal only determines how well it sells, due to the 360 not so great reputation of overheating.
