I re-bought FF VIII, IX, X recently out of fear I would lose or break my current mint copies. Lol.

I own two copies of FF VIII because it's the greatest game ever and I'd die if one of my discs stopped working on it lol

And how do you get chocobos?

First you'll have to complete both mission 5 and 7 to unlock mission 12.

After doing mission 12, you'll unlock a new area on the south part of the steppe and mission 14 Cie'th stone on the lake at the left side of the Steppe. After completing mission 14, you'll gain Gysahl Wreath, which will allow you to ride chocobos

I share the feeling. I still have my Lufia 2 cartridge in perfect conditions, no dust or even slight hint of wear and tear on it xD

Bay brainstorming session:

"Hmm, we need a powerful attack for this enemy"

"You mean like Ultima that will kill the entire party if they aren't all Sentinal when it hits?"

"No, something worse"

.....10 minutes of silence later.....

"I got it, an attack that hits all of the party, does about 18,000 damage to every member, its also a very fast attack with little build up time, it removes friendly buffs on the party and casts Daze so they canot do anything immediatly after it hits!"

"Too weak!"

"Oh, then lets make it spammable and allow Ultima to be cast directly afterwards, so when Daze lands it a 100% kill ultima afterwards"

thats EXACTLY how to happened no doubt about it :)

Bay is such a cheap ass move.

Especially when used in a Bay>Ultima>Bay>Ultima spam combo.

I know xD

It happened to me to, him using that kind of spam, especially after he gets his HP near 25%

As far as I know, the only way to slow down his spamming of Bay is to slow down his legs when you're taking him down. Each leg has it's own different attack bar, which in turn is linked to the same moves that the Long Gui uses.

Also, consider equipping Moonbow Anklet's * to everyone in your party prior to the fight. That confers you 60% Daze resistance, trust me, it helps too.

18K damage? Have you considered equipping General Belts * to your party? :P It reduces the damage to 12K damage, which is a lot more manageable.
