FFXIII has sadly dropped down to now being my third favourite Final Fantasy, replying VI has reminded me of how amazing that game is

Nahhh, he hates everything JRPG, FF being the most popular synonim of JRPG only makes him hate it more :P
Yup, every FF from FFIV to FFIX has had the ATB system. Alas, most JRPGs imported that same system to their games as well.
Also, it's not like all WRPGs are instant action frenzy like he makes it out to be XD
It seems that for most people, WRPGs only started this gen, and that games like Baldur's Gate, Fallout, Icewind Dale, Neverwinter Nights and so on never existed :P

I re-bought FF VIII, IX, X recently out of fear I would lose or break my current mint copies. Lol.
Just beat the game.
The final bosses were piss-easy. Very disappointing. The normal enemies posed more difficulty.

Mission 55. Located on top of the school in Oerba. Fight is located on Archylite Steppe, Aggra's Pasture (the right-hand side of the Steppe which needs a chocobo to get there).
