Yeah, pretty much they melded a lot of other mythologies and pop culture into a well sown together mesh, that's what's great about FF and what some other RPG's have tried to imitate as well.
It's pretty easy to see a western analyst not understanding how a JRPG sells so much. I bet he also wonders why WRPG's don't sell as much in Japan too :P

Maybe he should analyse some sales... I thought that was what analyzing was about...
I'm confused... but i'm starting to understand the overall hate for Mr. Pachter...

Forget that he's still shocked about uncharted 2 selling "lower than expected" despite it almost beating uncharted 1 in sales in 3 months flat
Oh Darth, we all know that for a game to be succesfull it has to sell Mario, GT, Halo or Pokemon levels in 1 week :P

I am confused too, but remember the bonus round is a "fun" atmosphere so he probably does have some slight idea.
But he still think Wii HD will come...so there you go

I think it is said that no one speaks up and says something about his stupid remarks about FF. Confront him that as an analyist he's doing a bad job and he doesn't contribute to the program or discussion with his lack of knowledge. Are they amateurs, or simply afraid?
