Can the PSP outsell the GBA in total sales?

No 63 49.22%

Yes 17 13.28%

Maybe 22 17.19%

Probably not 26 20.31%

Total:128

I'll say probably not but the PSP has been a success in terms of hardware sales and market penetration for Sony.

This isn't to say they were ever really competing for sales (They are from different generations) and obviously there is no need for me to mention the DS in this poll.

current LTD sales.

So what do you think? Does the PSP have a shot at outselling the GBA?

Around the Network

Of course not.

nope, piracy killed the poor thing a long time ago.

Probably not, I see it tapering off around 65 million.

THat's still quite an achievement, though, as the closest non-Nintendo handheld was the Game Gear at around 11 million.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

Tag, courtesy of fkusumot: "Why do most of the PS3 fanboys have avatars that looks totally pissed?"
"Ok, girl's trapped in the elevator, and the power's off.  I swear, if a zombie comes around the next corner..."

I might say that psp sales are in the long tail now...

Will decrease little by little till end 2011 and then we shall see a new psp.

One advantage I can think of is the PSP is still being sold at a much higher price then GBA was 249.99$/169.99$ VS the 99.99$/79.99$ the GBA was sold at.

No, I'm sure it could reach maybe 65mil LTD. That is still a great achievement, it is the first Handheld to compete with a Nintendo one without getting slaughtered.

Odd. Future. Wolf. Gang. Kill. Em. All. OFWGKTA Don't give a fuck!

Fuck Steve Harvey. FREE EARL!

Final Fantasy Versus XIII will be the GREATEST game EVER made!!!

I'd take a bullet for Square-Enix!

But how much was it bought for games? I don't buy the piracy argument so much as it just seems that people instead bought it as just another take on the iPod. I don't think that the number of pirates are that great, its just the number of people who actually buy it for games is that small. Its quite a decent little portable media player or so I hear. I may be wrong but I see it as more a Zune/Ipod competitor rather than a DS competitor.

Do you know what its like to live on the far side of Uranus?

I bought one for the games, but I didn't like many of them. I bought Crisis Core, and I never finished it. Now I only use it to listen to music.

I'm waiting for KH Birth by Sleep.

i dont understand why people understimate piracy on the psp.
