Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Xenoblade vs. The Last Story

tough decision for me since I liked both games.

The graphics and story were better in mistwalkers game but monolithsoft's game had the better music and the battle system in Xenoblade was more fun.

But overall i'm gunna have to give the victory to Last Story. The innovative leveling system and controls, and the amazing sidequests make this one of my fvaourite wii games, right up their with Pikmin 3 and Star Fox Seek and Destroy

Wait.....what?

I watched the Zenoblade/monado trailer and the environments look amazing.

@ aoixgp

I wish the character designs were alittle better though. The main character's chin is too long. Anyways, what did you think about the music in the trailer? It reminds me of the music from Xenogears so much.

Last Story mainly because of the thought of Sakaguchi directing a Nintendo first party studio in developing an RPG.

Honestly, even though we know more about Xenoblade, I'm more excited for The Last Story just because of Sakaguchi.

The Last Story , definately i really enjoyed Lost Odyssey (even tho it was bit cheesy) so i hope he delivers again.

Havent played any games in Xeno series, but it looks like a big deal, so im interested.

Hmmmm they both seem promising so if they both come out to NA I'll probs grab both of 'em.

I'm going for the last story.

Nintendo will rename it to: The Last Story: Payback is a bitch, SE.

It will be a sure winner.

Wait, now I remember something... Xenogears was that PS2 game you actually watched more than played, right? I mean, the one where the first 10 hours or so had 7 hours of movies.

Then my hype for Xenoblade went to zero. Last Story is the winner then.

The trailer showed few moviescenes, mainly direct (great-looking) gameplay. So it looks like it's not exactly Xeno-like.

Besides Nintendo makes gameplay games. That would mean monolith would to.
