So, the original passes 5 million just after the sequel passes 6 million. Now, three of the five best-selling PS3 games are Call of Duty. Not quite such good news.

3 of the top 5 on 360 are Call of Duty as well.  It's not bad, it just means that CoD is a sales beast...

Actually, many consoles have a game series that dominated its sales that way. For Wii its the "Wii-" series. For PS2 it was GTA. For PS there isn't a 3 of 5 series, but the top 4 games are all GT and FF. And so on...
