How do you:
- choose the angle Travis holds the beam katana?
- Do the special moves? with the analogs?
- is it any fun with the classical controller?
I didn't know this, but I took a look at the game's back boxart and saw it was supported.

I wouldn't bother. The split controller design is so comfortable that the only reason to go back to a gamepad is if you need a good D-pad (hello TvC). But to answer your questions to the best of my ability:
- Not sure, probably toggled by a button press.
- With button presses, eg. mash Y instead of flicking to the right.
- Any fun? I'm sure, it's fun, probably just less fun.

New for the sequel is Classic Controller support if you have an aversion to motion controls, but stripping out the motion nerfs the most satisfying part of combat. To do a finisher you move the joystick in an indicated direction, but that completely misses the extra oomph and urgency that a swing provides
that's probably how the remkae of the first one will play on the xbox and ps3

So, so, so true. I think the split controller is secretly my favorite thing about Wii's setup. Actually, I wish they'd adapt N64 games to it... it's hard going back to a GC pad for Mario 64/OOT/MM after Galaxy/TP.
Why would anyone even want to play it with a standard controller. XD

A what controller?
Connected in the middle you say?
I can't see how that will work.... I call BS!
I saw it on the back of the box as well and it shows it when you start up the game, but I'm not even going to bother with it. Doesn't seem very fun.
