just curious... i hear Tales is a bigger series in general aspect, which i wouldn't doubt... however its Star Ocean's last game in the series that gets tweaked and quite fast NA release VS vesperia's still yet uncertain NA/EU release date...

Now i find this strange... because Normally... isn't it... "Popular franchise > Underdog franchise" when it comes to quick localizations?

I personally enjoyed SO4 far more then ToV on 360... with me that must mean whatever i like has to be an underdog game (seems to be the way with WKC: IE, Chaos Legion, Dark Sector, Lost Plant, Etc...) So yeah... have at it, cuz' i've got nothin on this one.

Oh and for the record, im gald SO4 is coming first since i enjoyed that game more, but i know there are quite abit of tales fans who have PS3's in NA that feel left out, does this mean Tri-Ace > Namco when it comes to caring the about fans?

I don't think Tales is a bigger series tbh, it might get more hype on this site though.

Edit: just compared sales and they're pretty even in that perspective.

Seriously, it would sell poorly, as all Jrpgs except Final Fantasy.
They probably thought it wouldn't be financially smart to translate and adapt 20 hours or so of extras - probably a lot more than SO4.

Unknown JRPGS, like those two, mean very lilttle to the western market nowadays.
I mean, every other genre sells more than them, right?

Tales of Vesperia would be a day one purchase for me if it ever comes out where-as I might pick up Star Ocean 4 if I see it in the bargain bin, but I've never played any of the past Star Ocean games before so there is no rush!

I know... and it's a big let down...... I want my pirate!
