persoan 4 has every right to be in this list. dont care which spot it is as long as its there lol. This is a pretty damn impressive list. Every game i can think deserves it is here.
Ha ha... this list is an absolute joke. How can a game with lower critical reception and (arguably) popular support than other games in it's own series be the best game of all time? Plus, this list is far too heavily skewed toward newer games.
GRAPHICS are improving, but to argue that gameplay is evolving is sheer opinion at best and highly fallacious at worst.
Then again, it is Famitsu after all, and the list does seemingly legitimize their recent rash of "perfect" 40's.

You realize this is by readers right?
You are entitled to your opinion, but mostly everyone who imported the game will tell you it's not trash. Almost every review I have read from imports is a 9/10. But I guess those are trash ratings nowadays.
Also reviews don't reflect personal opinions. The Last Remnant is my favorite RPG this gen, and it's rating is what, a 6/10 on Metacritic?
Wasn't FFX #1 the last time they did this?

What are you talking about. FF13 got 39 of 40 from Famitsu and Dengeki said it deserver a score of 120.
FF13 is also voted the second best game of 2009on Dengeki behind DQ9.
FF13's battle system is widely considered the best in the series.
Bayonetta got 40 of 40 from Famitsu but the game is not in the list.
OPM and OXM both gave it a 9/10. I guess they are trash reviewers as well. Anyways no need to derail this thread anymore. I'm glad to see FFX is on that list. Well deserved!

A 39/40 by Famitsu (2nd best score for a FF ever) and a "it deserves a 120, but our score goes only into 100" by Dengeki, the two biggest magazines of Japan (which is what we're talking about now). Yeah, lower critical reception alright...
Anyway, the list is heavy biased towards recent games, which is logical since it's both what most people remember and what most people have played, but even then it makes me happy Japanese are so fond of the perfection that was Persona 4
